Touch Screen
The Intel® based Windows® touch screen has a resolution of 1920 X 1200 pixels and an 8.3 inch
screen. It is directly mounted on the remote unit of the Intel
®
Cockpit GCS and should not be
removed. It is powered by the Intel
®
Powerpack™ Battery of the Intel
®
Cockpit GCS and switches
on and off automatically when the Intel
®
Cockpit GCS is powered on or off.
The touch screen serves as a video monitor,
displays flight information and gives access to
extend functionality.
The touch screen is automatically switched on
when switching on the Intel
®
Cockpit GCS.
Functional elements on the top edge, right side:
1) Power switch
2) Button for brightness control
Beside its usage as video monitor special functions
can be executed via the touch screen.
This functionality enables the operator to
automatically reproduce pictures from saved
positions (waypoints) anytime for monitoring
purposes.
After switching on the touch screen, the blue
Welcome Screen, changes to a Preflight Checklist
where the most important safety aspects are
listed.
The Intel
®
Cockpit GCS has an optional use Sun Shade for the touch screed.
