1 Server Chassis Features
This chapter describes the main features of the Intel
®
Entry Server Chassis SC5299-E.
The location of important chassis components and connections, as well as a description of
LED identification, are also presented.

The Intel
®
Entry Server Chassis SC5299-E is a 5.2U pedestal

server chassis and is
available in three configurations: DP (dual-processor), WS (workstation), and BRP (base
redundant power). The chassis is designed to support the Intel
®
Server Boards
S5000XVN, S5000PSL, S5000XSL and S5000VSA. The type of server board supported
is dependent upon the configuration purchased. See Table 1 for a list of the Intel
®
server
boards that are supported by each server chassis configuration.

with the optional Rack Mount Kit (order code APP3RACKIT).
