(3) EPADR communication sequence
The MES sends a data report to the LES by the channel and the slot which are previously assigned.
(a) When EPADR transmission is successful, EPADR communication sequence is completed.
(b) When EPADR transmission is failed, the MES re-sends data report to the LES by EDR
communication sequence.
The feature of EPADR is as follows.
• Data report transmission failure by packet collision does not occur, because the channel and the
slot are previously assigned.
• When data report transmission is failed, data report is re-sent by EDR (Enhanced Data Reporting).
• MES can request EPADR Assignment
For new request, assigning address, transmission interval, number of packets and number of
reports is necessary.
For parameter change request of EPADR assignment which already downloaded, assigning
transmission interval, number of packets and number of reports is necessary.
• After MES sends the all reports as a function of “number of reports”, MES will request new
EPADR Assignment automatically.
• LES can call to MES for a report which is content of already downloaded EPADR Assignment.
• LES can request that MES re-sends data report. The data report will be re-sent by EDR.
• LES can suspend or resume EPADR Assignment easily.
