A commercial service for the broadcasting and automatic reception of fleet management
and general public information by means of direct printing through Inmarsat’s EGC
system.
Footprint (of a satellite):
The area on the Earth’s surface (sea or land) covered by the satellite and where an
antenna can obtain line-of-sight communications. In the Inmarsat systems, this area is
also known as the ocean region or coverage area.
