Disconnecting a Virtual Chassis Cable from an EX-series Switch
If you need to disconnect an EX 4200 switch from a virtual chassis configuration,
you need to disconnect the virtual chassis cable from the virtual chassis ports.
Ensure you have the following tools and parts available to disconnect a virtual chassis
cable from an EX-series switch:
■ Electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap
■ Cross-head screwdriver
Ensure you understand how to prevent ESD damage (see “Preventing Electrostatic
Discharge Damage” on page 138).
To disconnect a virtual chassis cable from an EX 4200 switch (see
Figure 67 on page 114):
1. Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and
connect the strap to the ESD point on the chassis.
2. Loosen the screws on the locking cover by using the cross-head screwdriver.
