Function Details
Programmable Output Resistance
Programmable Output Resistance
If the programmable output resistance function is enabled, the channel operates like
an electric load.
This function provides two operation mode, constant and emulation.
For the constant mode, the channel works as a voltage source with built-in constant
series resistor or a current source with a built-in constant shunt resistor. For easy
understanding, when the High and Low terminals are shorted, the channel tries to
apply 0.1 A with the setting of 0.1 V output and 1 output resistance.
For the emulation mode, the channel emulates user defined V/I curve set to the
emulation table. Then the output status on the Single or Dual view is changed to
“EMUL”.
To set the programmable output resistance, see “Optional Parameters” on page 4-18.
To set up the emulation table, see “Output R (Emulation) dialog box” on page 4-31.
NOTE For examples using this function, see the following documents.
Programmable Output Resistance, Using Constant Mode
Programmable Output Resistance, Using VI Emulation Mode
They are stored in the B2961A/62A Power Source Product Reference CD-ROM.
