3 Remove the two screws (A), and then remove the fan.

Controller board removal
Note: Back up the eSF solutions and settings before replacing the controller board. For more information,
see
“Backing up eSF solutions and settings” on page 261.
1 Remove the right cover. See “Right cover removal” on page 294.
2 Remove the controller board shield. See “Controller board shield removal” on page 301.
3 Disconnect all cables from the controller board.
Installation warning: The cables (JCART1 and JLIFT) are not interchangeable. JCART1 connects to the
cartridge motor, while JLIFT goes to the lift motor. Plugging these connectors incorrectly could lead to
damage on the imaging unit.
