Modification Procedure
3. Remove the OHCTL and SYSCTL circuit packs from the shelf.
4. Disconnect the shelf power lead connectors P1 and P2 from the bay power
riser connectors J1 and J2. The green PWR ON LED on the front of the user
panel should gradually extinguish.
5. Unseat the remaining circuit packs in the shelf.
6. Remove the screw at the top of the User Panel faceplate.
7. Unscrew the ESD jack at the bottom of the User Panel faceplate.
8. Slide out the User Panel and disconnect the three cable plugs from the
connectors on the User Panel printed wiring board.
9. Install the new User Panel, reconnecting the three cable plugs. (Cable plug J4
connects to the top connector, J5 to the middle connector, and J6 to the
bottom connector.)
10. Reconnect shelf power lead connector P1 to the bay power riser connector J1
and verify that the PWR ON LED on the User Panel lights.
Verification and Completion
11. Disconnect shelf power lead connector P1. Reconnect shelf power lead
connector P2 to bay power riser connector J2 and verify that the PWR ON
LED on the User Panel lights.
12. Reconnect power lead connector P1 to bay power riser connector J1.
13. Install the OHCTL circuit pack and then the SYSCTL circuit packs in the shelf.
14. Reseat the remaining circuit packs in the following order: TGS/TG3, OLIU,
MXRVO, DS3, TMUX, STS1E, DS1/DS1PM, HDSL, T1EXT, and IMA LAN.
15. After about 10 minutes the shelf should be free of alarm indications.
