8. Refer to Figures 1, 2, and 3. Is your shelf an ED-8C724-30, G1 shelf
(Figure 1) or an ED-8C724-30, G3 or G4 shelf (Figure 2 or 3)?
If ED-8C724-30, G1, then continue with Step 9.
If ED-8C724-30, G3 or G4, then proceed to Step 14.
9. See Figure 1.
If fuse FA is being removed, verify that –48 V DC is present between pin 8 of
Filter A6257 (positive lead) and terminal E1 of terminal board TB1 (negative
lead).
If fuse FB is being removed, verify that –48 V DC is present between pin 6 of
Filter A6257 (positive lead) and terminal E2 of terminal board TB1 (negative
lead).
Requirement: Voltage must be between –41.75 V and –60.0 V DC
10. Was requirement met?
If YES, then continue with Step 11.
If NO, then proceed to Step 19.
11. Reinstall SYSCTL and OHCTL.
12. You can safely remove one fuse as required, if power is maintained to the shelf
through the other fuse.
13. STOP. YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROCEDURE.
14. See Figure 2 or 3.
If fuse FA is being removed, verify that –48 V DC is present between pin 3
(positive lead) and pin 4 (negative lead) of P2.
If fuse FB is being removed, verify that –48 V DC is present between pin 2
(positive lead) and pin 1 (negative lead) of P2.
Requirement: Voltage must be between –41.75 V and –60.0 V DC
15. Was requirement met?
If YES, then continue with Step 16.
If NO, then proceed to Step 19.
