5-72 5/2020 CC1908S-1
CAUTION
When extending the boom, operate it slowly,
checking that the sling does not become
detached.
Shake the pin with your hand as the boom is
extended, allowing it to be removed easily
once it becomes loose.
12. Use the fly jib remote controller (R) to retract
the boom, and remove the nylon sling.
13. Attach the lever block (X) to the No. 1 fly jib
(2) and fly jib base (4) slightly under tension.
CAUTION
Be sure to attach the lever block to prevent
the fly jib from falling.
14. Remove position pin (A4) from the lower
hole (a4), then rotate the fly jib in the
direction of the arrow.
WARNING
Be careful of your surroundings and footings
here.
15. Use the fly jib remote controller (R) to retract
the boom and move it in the direction of the
arrow while pushing the fly jib tip (5) as far
as the position where the fly jib slide plate
engages with the stowage bracket. Mount it
on top of the stowage bracket A (21), and
align the hole positions. The holes are
aligned with the boom slightly extended.
WARNING
• Operate slowly, checking that the lever
block is attached.
• Check that fly jib slide plate is not caught
on the stowage bracket while retracting the
boom.
The fly jib remote controller can be attached
to the right side of the boom for
convenience.
