6.16 INSPECTION M A E D A Crawler Crane
6-34 5/2020 CC1908S-1
3. First start the engine.
4. Within 15 seconds of the engine stopping,
operate the control levers (crane, travelling)
through a full stroke in each direction to
release the internal pressure.
5. Open the left cover and inspect the sight
gauge (G). It is correct if the oil level is
between "H - L".
6. If the oil level is below the "L" level, refill using
the following procedure.
1. Loosen the bolts to remove the cover (1)
on top of the hydraulic oil tank.
2. Remove the oil inlet cap (F) and
replenish the hydraulic oil.
3. Fit the oil inlet cap.
4. Attach the cover (1) on top of the
hydraulic oil tank.
7. If there is too much oil, drain using the
following procedure.
1. Turn the upper slewing body to the left by
45 degrees so that the drain plug under
the hydraulic oil tank comes between the
left and right crawler tracks.
2. Stop the engine and wait until the
hydraulic oil cools down.
3. Open the under cover below the
hydraulic oil tank.
4. Remove the drain plug (3) to drain the
oil.
5. Inspect the oil level again.
6. Close the under cover.
8. Close the left cover.
IMPORTANT
When replenishing the oil, avoid filling above
the "H" level on the level gauge. Otherwise,
there is a risk of damage to the hydraulic
circuit or of oil spurting out.
If the oil is refilled above the "H" level, drain
the excess oil using the following procedure:
Depending on the ambient conditions, oil may
expand and spurt out even when not filled to
the "H" level. If this occurs, adjust by reducing
the amount of oil.
