7.3.2. Alternative: Measuring the Label Length
When using formatted media (non-continuous material with gaps...), you can use
the label length to determine the Slip Correction. (This is an alternative to the usage
of the testpattern described in the previous section.)
1. Please measure the length of the label manually.
Nominal label length.
For example:
Measure the nominal label length
Hint: A large measuring length (label length) provides higher resolution and
accuracy. (A label length of 210mm (approx. 8 inch) or more is suitable.)
2. To prepare the printer for a successful automatic measurement please set the
Paper length to a larger length than the real length of your label (so that the
printer will feed more than a label length and can find the gaps ):
