When the device is ready, the background noise is constantly updated as long as a user is present.
Note: If a probe without presence sensor is used in dynamic mode, an unsupported probe message
is displayed.
A dose rate probe can be used in addition to a presence sensor probe.
- Manual acquisition or manual mode: A message prompts the user to perform a background
noise measurement.
- After validation, the device switches to background noise measurement with the minimum
integration time (see § 13.1).
The device is then ready to perform a « NET » type measurement
11.7.2 Period of validity of the background noise
When the device works, the background noise is valid during the set period (See § 13.1). At the end of
this period a new acquisition of background noise is initiated.
If the acquisition is dynamic with probes equipped with presence sensors and the user is present, a
message asking to release the device is displayed:
