13.4 PERIODIC CALIBRATION CONTROL (CPC)
The Periodic Calibration Control (CPC) of the CSP probe is used to check the characteristic values that
are provided on the calibration certificate of the probe. The sources used are calibration sources.
: The CPC has an expiry date and according to the configuration (« Periodic Control » menu
of § 13.10), exceeding this date may block the use of the CSP type probe.
For CSP probes, the calibration coefficients are determined with the Canberra Smart Probe Software
(CSPS) and saved in the probe.
For Nardeux type probes, the calibration coefficients are generic for given radionuclides and by probe
type, and are saved in MIP-2. The coefficients can be consulted in the configuration file (see § 12.2).
To consult the CPC of the probe, display the main menu (key ), by selecting the line « Probes
configuration » (key ).
Return to the previous menu is possible by pressing .
In the case of 2 connected probes, press the or key to select the « Interface 1 » or 1.
« Interface 2 » line.
