13.2 CALIBRATION COEFFICIENTS OF NARDEUX TYPE PROBE
Probe configuration files of the Nardeux type probe are saved in the « config / Nardeux_Probe »
directory of the MIP-2 and are editable by connecting the MIP-2 to a computer (see § 14.1).
: Files are automatically generated when you first connect a Nardeux type probe.
The configuration file by type of Nardeux probe contains the generic calibration coefficient (s) with its
unit for a given radionuclide.
Note: The available units and the 10 low and high alarm thresholds are pre-stored in the internal
memory of the MIP-2 and can be accessed via the « Probe configuration » menu (see §
12.1 above).
13.3 INTERMEDIATE PERIODIC CONTROL (IPC) OF CSP TYPE PROBES
The Intermediate Periodic Control (IPC) of the connected CSP type probe makes it possible to verify
that the measured activity corresponds to that of the source.
During the calculation of the IPC, the alarms and the alerts are not taken into account; only the
saturation can be triggered.
: The IPC has an expiry date and depending on the configuration (« Periodic Check » menu §
13.9), exceeding this date may block the use of the probe.
This function can be accessed from the « Operator » user level and from the « Technician » level (To
change the user level, refer to section 13.15).
To view the IPC, display the main menu (key ), and select the « Probes configuration » line (key
).
Return to the previous menu is possible by pressing .
