11.7.3 Alert on excessive noise
At the end of an acquisition of background noise a warning about excessive noise can be triggered:
With the calculation of the measurement time (case of counting scale mode § 10.4 and hand/foot
§ 10.6): If the measurement time is greater than or equal to the maximum time of integration, there
is the « Excessive noise » message notification.
With the threshold of decision (case of the direct measurement modes § 10.3 and screening § 10.5):
If the SD decision threshold is greater than or equal to the set alarm threshold in the probe, there is
the « Excessive noise » message notification.
The SD decision threshold is calculated according to the formula:
