14.1 BACKGROUND NOISE
This function can only be accessed at the « Technician » user level (To change the user level, refer to
section 13.15).
The setting of Background noise (BKG) allows activating:
x the subtraction measurement of the BKG (Except for Hand / Foot mode which remains
active)
x the dynamical measurement mode of the BKG, which is constantly done as soon as the
presence detector probes are released,
Note: In « Counting scale » mode, if dynamic mode has been selected, the BKG
measurement will be in manual mode. Returning to « Direct Measure » mode will
automatically reactivate the dynamic mode of the BKG
x excessive BKG alert,
x the acquisition time,
x the period of validity of the BKG,
x the K
a
factor of false alarm (Default 1.66),
x the variation coefficient K of the BKG (default 3.00),
x the screen factor as a percentage of masking of the BKG by the user (value between 0%
and 100%),
x the minimum integration time,
x the maximum integration time,
x the measurement time (T
measure
)
A background noise variation detection function makes it possible to invalidate a background noise
when the « Net » mode measurement is less than
