Getting started
The Mitel 6920 SIP IP phone must be set up and be configured by the System Administrator prior to its
first use.
Plugging in and starting the phone
The 6920 automatically begins the start up sequence as soon as it is connected. The phone goes through
this process the first time you plug in your phone and every time you restart your phone.
The phone displays the following startup screens.
The 6920 phone then checks settings and looks for new configuration and firmware updates from a
configuration server. This may take a few moments while the phone downloads the latest updates.
