About SMB Controller
2.4.3.2 System Configurations
The MiVoice Business solution on SMB Controller is recommended to be deployed as either an
80-user system or a 150-user system.
The number of supported users and the number of available VoIP channels is determined by:
•
The number of DSP expansion cards installed in the system
•
The number of configured VM ports
•
The number of configured voice compressions.
For more information about how DSPs are used and for system configuration information, see
DSP Allocation.
Note:
The CPQ determines the DSP card requirements.
Embedded T.38 is not supported. FAX modems can be supported by Modem-Over-IP using
G.711 functionality or via an external terminal adapter such as the TA7102, TA7104, or
TA7108.
There are two options to ensure G.711 only mode on FXS/FSO:
•
In the Licence and Option Selection form
•
Ensure that all the SIP and IP Trunks the system interfaces with for modem calls are
placed in the same Compression Zone as the system.
This is provisioned in the Network Element form.
2.4.3.3 SMB Hardware Version
It is important to identify your system version before performing any maintenance or upgrades.
The system hardware version is identified via a label at the bottom of the box.
The software releases needed for each hardware version are as follows:
•
For Rev A hardware version, the minimum required software release is MiVoice Business
version 10.0.
•
For Rev B hardware version, the minimum required software release is MiVoice Business
version 10.0 SP1.
