Set 5: Media initial menu
Set the media detection type while initializing the media. Omitting media detection will shorten
operation time.
Caution
 When the value in the media initial menu is set as “OFF”, “Top&width” or
“Width”, the media thickness is not detected.
 When the operation panel displays “Warning! *.* =>” check if the value matches
the thickness of the loaded media. If the value is wrong, enter the correct value.
If a wrong value is set, the media may damage the print head.

OFF The media is not detected
Top&Width
Detect the media width and front edge (no
thickness)
Width Detect the media width (no thickness)
Height+Off Detect the media thickness only
Height+T&W
Detect the media thickness, width and front
edge.
Height+Width Detect the media thickness and width.

 ENTER: Saves the settings and shifts to
the previous hierarchy.
 CANCEL: cancels the settings and shifts to
the previous hierarchy.
