Maintenance
Utilising a feeler gauge of the type shown in the figure,
measure the play between the camshaft and the valve
cups.
The correct measuring of the play is a fun-
damental operation for the correct function-
ing of the engine.
Carry out the measuring of the play of the following valves:
Cylinders 1 and 2 intake valves (n° 1, 2, 3, 4)
Cylinders 1 and 3 exhaust valve (n° 11, 12, 15, 16)
Scrupulously, make a note of the order of the values
measured in the form of a table.
For example, here is a hypothesis of a table in which
are written the various values measured.
