3.14.2.2.1 Port Monitor Commands
port
Syntax port port-id [port-id...(up to 5 total)] [interval seconds] [repeat repeat] [absolute | rate]

Context monitor
Description This command enables port traffic monitoring. The specified ports’ statistical information is
shown at the configured interval until the configured count is reached.
The first screen displays the current statistics related to the specified ports. The subsequent
statistical information listed for each interval is displayed as a delta to the previous screen.
When the keyword rate is specified, the “rate per second” for each statistic is displayed
instead of the delta.
Monitor commands are similar to show commands, but only statistical information is shown.
Monitor commands display the selected statistics according to the configured number of
times at the interval specified.
Parameters port-id — specifies up to 5 port IDs
seconds — configures the interval for each display in seconds
Values 3 to 60
Default 10
repeat — configures how many times the command is repeated
Values 1 to 999
Default 10
absolute — when the absolute keyword is specified, the raw statistics are displayed
without processing. No calculations are performed on the delta or rate statistics.
rate — when the rate keyword is specified, the rate per second for each statistic is
displayed instead of the delta
multiclass — displays statistics for multi-class MLPPP bundles
Output The following outputs are examples of port monitoring information.
