Routing fiber to the ABM when no FPP is installed
Step Action
16 Hang the connector end of the patch cords out of the cable trough to the left
of the tab that is located above the card to which the patch cord connects (see
Figure 7-25).
17 Ensure that each fiber patch cord exits the cable trough to the left of the tab
that is located immediately above the OC-3 or OC-12 interface card to which
the patch cord or pigtail connects.

CAUTION
Risk of damage to fiber patch cords
Ensure that each fiber patch cord exits the cable trough to the left
of the tab that is immediately above the card to which the patch
cord connects. If a cord exits the trough to the right of the tab, it
may snag and become damaged when an adjacent card is
removed.
