4.2 Connecting the communication link between CT SB2
and CT Analyzer
CT Analyzer devices as of serial number JHxxxx or newer are equipped with a USB interface and a
RS232 interface. You can use both interfaces alternatively.
The setup for connecting the CT SB2 switch box depends on two factors:
• Should CT Analyzer be connected to a PC?
• Which CT Analyzer interface should be used for PC connection?
Connect CT Analyzer and CT SB2 accordingly as shown in the following figure.
CT Analyzer/CT SB2 not connected to a PC:
CT Analyzer/CT SB2 connected to PC via USB:
CT Analyzer/CT SB2 connected to PC via RS232 interface:
