Specifying the Number of Rack Units
This command syntax specifies the total number of rack units on an
asset strip connected to the BCM2 device.
assetStrip <n> numberOfRackUnits <number>
Note: A rack unit refers to a tag port on the asset strips.
Variables:
• <n> is the number of the FEATURE port where the selected asset
strip is physically connected. For the BCM2 device with only one
FEATURE port, the number is always 1.
• <number> is the total number of rack units available on the
connected asset strip. This value ranges from 8 to 64.
Specifying the Rack Unit Numbering Mode
This command syntax specifies the numbering mode of rack units on the
asset strips connected to the BCM2 device. The numbering mode
changes the rack unit numbers.
assetStrip <n> rackUnitNumberingMode <mode>
Variables:
• <n> is the number of the FEATURE port where the selected asset
strip is physically connected. For the BCM2 device with only one
FEATURE port, the number is always 1.
• <mode> is one of the numbering modes:
topDown
or
bottomUp
.
topDown The rack units are numbered in the ascending
order from the highest to the lowest rack unit.
bottomUp The rack units are numbered in the descending
order from the highest to the lowest rack unit.
