13 Care
13.1 General safety instructions

Wear tight-fitting protective glasses and chemical-safe protective gloves while cleaning the unit.
n
Remove all care products and residues of care products before heating up the unit and cooking food in it.
13.2 Care intervals
The functional components should be cleaned after each use according to the recommended care schedule, but
additional cleaning can be performed as needed.

13.3 Care products
Suitable care products
n
Clean the unit with lukewarm water and a sponge.
n
Clean the interior of the pan with diluted vinegar if there is limescale or discolouration.
n
Clean stubborn dirt on the inside of the pan with a brush or sponge (see RATIONAL accessories) and, if
necessary, with a scouring agent.
n
Scouring cleaning agents or abrasive cloths.
Unsuitable care products
Do not clean the unit, its functional parts and accessories with the following unsuitable care products:
n
Substances containing hydrochloric acid, caustic solution, sulphur or other oxygen-requiring substances
n
Steel wool
n
Sharp or pointed tools
13.4 Cleaning the pan
CAUTION
If the pan base is hot, cold cleaning water can heat up quickly and spray from the pan
You may scald yourself if you touch hot spraying water.
1. Leave the pan to cool down by itself. Do not try to cool it quickly using cold water or ice.
