Cleaning the steam vent
Please note that units without a pressure cooking system have one steam vent. Units with a pressure cooking
system have two steam vents.
1. Remove the steam vent by hand without using tools.
2. Clean the recess in the steam vent with the hand shower.
3. Clean the steam vent using the hand shower or in the dishwasher.
4. Put the steam vent back in place.
Cleaning the spray regulator
Depending on the level of soiling and water hardness, clean the spray regulator regularly, but at least every six
months.
To clean the spray regulator, you will need the service key (see figure) which is included in the iVario starter kit.
Cleaning tip: To do this, place the spray regulator overnight in a container with white vinegar.
Proceed as follows:
1. Place the key on the spray regulator and unscrew it.
2. Clean the spray regulator with vinegar water.
3. Rinse the spray regulator with water.
4. Rinse the Variodose without the spray regulator with one litre of water to remove residual particles in the
pipe.
5. Insert the cleaned spray regulator using the service key.
6. Tighten the screw connection.
>> The spray regulator is fully functional again.
Cleaning the automatic water filling
1. Clean the automatic water filling mechanism with detergent and a soft sponge every morning and night.
Cleaning the pan drain valve
1. Open the pan drain valve.
2. Unscrew the pan drain valve.
3. Clean the opening, the lid and the gasket of the pan drain valve with a sponge.
4. Screw the pan drain valve back into place.
13.5 Cleaning the hand shower
1. Pull the hand shower hose out completely and hold it firmly.
2. Clean the hand shower and the hose with a soft sponge.
3. To remove stubborn scale, clean the hand shower and the hose with diluted vinegar.
