Sometimes you may choose to begin looking into
the water column at some deeper depth point so

the range scales can be shifted anywhere between
0 to 3000 Feet, 1495 Meters, or 995 Fathoms in

The Shift operation for the fishfmding displays can be controlled manually
or automatically while on the fishfinding display modes. To select a
specific
Shift depth, press the
m
key. A temporary
menu

appears. Press the

(down) key
to select a deeper Shift setting point. The Shift
starting value in the menu boxchangeseach time the

up/down key is pressed to show the new setting and
resets to the new depth range value starting at the
selected Shift point. In approximately 7 seconds,
the menu disappears from the screen.

Shift Operation
Auto Shift permits the echo sounder to automatically maintain the same
range scale expansion whenever the bottom echo goes deeper than the
range scale in use, or when the range becomes shallower than
10% of the range scale in use by also changing the starting
point of each scale. The main purpose for using AUTO
Sm
is to keep the fish echoes on the screen at the same sizes for
easier identification.

menu. To activate AUTO

operation

press the
softkey
indicated by the AUTO menu.
“AUTO

now
appears on the display in the upper right side of the display area whenever
Auto Shift is ON.
Auto Shift will be turned OFF whenever the
SHIFT
setting is reset to a new
value manually.
