NAVAlarms-The
Set
Alarm
Menu
For navigating to waypoints, the
V8010
has operator programmable
NAV
alarms that you can set to advise you when the specified limits have been
reached. The types of NAV alarms available are:
ARRNAL-
ANCHOR-
OFF-COURSE-
BOUNJMRY-
Arrival at a waypoint.
SELEcT-S

Exceeds anchor
drift
limit.

SOUNDER
ALARMS

Straying too far from track.
Avoiding a designated area.

NAVALARMS

Quick access to set, change, or cancel these alarms
anytime is gained
bypressingthemey.
When the
SELECTALARMmenu
appears, you can select
them

group by pressing the corresponding soft-
key.

Alarm
When the
INAVALARMS]
softkey
has been pressed,
the SET
NAVALARMS
menu appears. Now, the ARRI-
VAL
alarm can be set to alert you when you are within
a specified distance from your
waypoint
destination.
The arrival alarm can be set anywhere between 0.01
up to 9.99 nautical miles (nm). To set an ARRIVAL
alarm:
Press the
m
softkey.
Enter the distance
value for the desired arrival zone with the numeric
keys along the left side of the panel. Press
m.

Example: To set an arrival zone at 0.05 nautical miles;

to the previous operating mode.
Whenever the
ARRIVAL

waypoint

alarm value, the alarm will be activated.
