STD/ZOOM
Mode
The
V8010
features a special Zoom mode which allows you to magnify any
area of the fishfinding screen selected by the VRM line to get a closer look
at fish or fish schools. To use the Zoom feature, press
the_MODEjkey
and
selecde[from
the Mode menu by pressing the
softkey.
The fishfmding screen will divide vertically
showing the Standard fishfmding display on the
right side (50%) and the ZOOM (magnified) area
of the water column designated by the VRM line
appearing on the left side (50%) of the screen.
The location of the ZOOM window is determined
by the position of the
VRM line
on the fishfinding
display. To magnify any particular section of the
water column, just press the (up) or
(down)
keys to move the
VRM
line to the desired location
to be enlarged as viewed on the Standard
fishfind-
ing display.
To change the width or size of the ZOOM window, press
them
key. A
temporary menu labeled
‘ZING
appears directly below
theWANGE
Xxx”
menu with the current ZOOM expansion value above and
below the VRM line shown. Press the

(up) key to
increase the ZOOM window size or the

(down) key to
decrease the zone window size.

The range scale marks for the split screens are shown at the right edge of
the split screen displays.Forthe ZooMdisplaythe upperdepth

window appears at the top of the scale. The VRM line is centered in the
window, and the lower depth of the ZOOM window appears at the bottom
end of the scale. In addition, “zone” lines appear on the STD fishfmding
display above and below the

line to show the ZOOM window setting.
