on the plot screen next to their respective symbols
for about 7 seconds or until you type in one of the
numbers for a destination number.

EVENT
marks
Whenever you want to remember your present
position on the plotter, you can press the
m
key. The location is saved into memory. A number
between 301 to 380 is assigned, and its symbol
(0)
is fixed on the plot display at own ship’s location.
The assigned Event mark number appears in the
message window at the plot screen lower right cor-
ner, for your reference.You can also recall the
number any time by pressing the-key and
viewing the number on the screen.
The Event’s position in
Lat/Long,
depth, and surface water temperature
can be recalled at any time by selecting that particular event mark memory
number. Press

-1.
The Event’s L/L also appears on the waypoint list at the assigned
memory number.

Re-centering
Own Ship
When the PLOT mode display is first selected, “own ship” will be at the
center of the plot screen. Own ship is always identified as a ( + ) shaped
symbol that is constantly blinking. As the vessel moves, the ship symbol will
eventually reach the edge of the plotting area. At that time, the plot screen
will automatically reset “own ship” back to the center of the plot display.
You can manuallyposition “own ship” back to the center of the plot screen
at any time by pressing
thel]key.
