be used. Use a shorter time interval if the vessel’s route has several turns
or bends such as in rivers and waterways for saving track with more detail.
Longer time recording intervals can be used when the trip is going to be
generally a straight line for long distances.
The recording intervals can be selected in units of Time or Distance:
TIME

LS are: 30 seconds,
1,3,5,
and 10 minute time intervals.
DISTANCE RECORDING INTERVALS
:
at 0.2 or 0.5 nautical miles.
The interval selection is normally set to “OFF” when recording is not
required.
Press the TRACK

until the desired memory interval is
highlighted by the block.
The Plotter has an Auto Start/Stop plotting feature built in. If you stop
along your route to fish, and forget to turn the track recording interval off,
the tracker automatically stops plotting until you start moving again.
All track points recorded will be
‘saved”in
track memory
until
erased, or
unless overwritten by new track data. When track points are overwritten,
the newest track point # 501 will replace old track point # 1, track point
# 502 replaces # 2, etc.
When you are finished recording your track, re-enter the TRACK CONTROL
menu and select “OFF” with the TRACK INTERVAL softkey to turn the
memory recording interval to ‘OFF”.
Press

when you are ready to return to the previous display
mode.

Ordinarily, it’s a good idea to erase the old track from memory before
recording a new track plot. Just select TRACK CONTROL from the
PLOTfJYEMP
menu . press
the\ERASETRACKw
softkey
and then press the
m
key to confirm that you want to erase the track memory. All track
data will be erased.
Press
themkey
when ready to return to the previous display mode.
