The LD unit has a synchronization detector at the left side of each unit (for the optical paths for the K and M
drums only). A laser beam coming from the LD board [A] travels to the collimating lens [B] polygon motor
[C] lens (L1) [D] Mirror 1 [E] Mirror 2 Mirror 3 Drum.
When the beam is at the beginning of the line, the synchronization mirror [F] reflects it to the synchronization
lens. The synchronization detector [H] detects the beam reflected.
