Using the Telephone Efficiently
• You probably have certain colleagues or external par-
ties with whom you talk on the phone especially fre-
quently. To dial these numbers faster and more con-
veniently, you can save them on keys (Saving station
numbers for repertory dialing on keys Æ page 66).
• You can save optiPoint 600 office additional names,
station numbers, and calling party data in the per-
sonal directory of your telephone Æ page 122. A
well maintained directory will save a great deal of ef-
fort in searching for lost phone numbers.
• All too often you reach a busy line when dialing a
number. Amid the confusion of your working day,
it’s easy to forget to try the number again later on.
To avoid this, make it a habit to use the "Callback"
Æ page 59 function.
