3.2.2 Geared motors
Geared motors form the maintenance-free drive unit in the door drive. The geared motors 
feature DC motors with non-self-locking gearing and are speed-controlled. The set force and 
speed limits are not exceeded. 
The power is transmitted to the door by a toothed belt, gear rack or chain. 
Toothed belts or chains pass over a deector pulley, and can be tted with two door clutch 
holders. This enables it to drive both single-sided and centrally-opening doors.
