The call interface of batch control offers the following functions:
R Simple starting of batch control
R Start batch control with immediate starting (or a starting attempt) of a
batch
R Starting batch control with subsequent return to a specific status in the
database (exception handling, redundancy)
R Opening a recipe window on a batch or an apparatus. If an apparatus is
specified, batch control determines the corresponding batch (see the next
paragraph).
During the planning and design phase, a graphic object (for example, a
reactor) is linked either directly to the apparatus name or via interconnection
with the UNIT block in PLC. The apparatus name is determined on-line via
OS action programming and passed on to batch control via its API. Batch
control determines via the equipment occupancy list the current batch for this
apparatus and displays its recipe window.
