6.3.2 Creating batches, modifying in the batch dialog
In the batch planning list you can create a new batch by selecting the
function ’Insert’ –>’Batch’ and thus opening the batch dialog.
To change a planned-in batch, open the batch dialog by double-clicking on
the corresponding line in the batch planning list, or by first selecting the
batch (single click) and then the ’Properties’ function in the ’Edit’ menu.
The batch planning dialog contains the index cards ’General’ and
’Description’ of the batch. The ’General’ index card contains the input boxes
for all information relevant to batch planning as well as the selection buttons
for the associated ’Order’ (if one exists) and ’Recipe’. The ’Description’
index card consists of a text input box into which you can type a description
of the batch.
The input lines ’Product’, ’Quality’ and ’Recipe’ are provided with input
support boxes which you can open by clicking on the corresponding icons
beside the input boxes, provided the batch is not a new creation.
From the corresponding input support boxes you can select the product and
quality designation of the batches (these are created independently of a
production order). These boxes contain the lists for products and quality
characteristics configured in BOM (see Page 3-42).
Note
In the case of batches derived from a production order (see Chapter 6.4.4)
the product and quality selection cannot be changed.
The recipe and – connected with this – the apparatuses for implementing the
planned batch can be selected in the ’Recipe’ input support box. This
contains a list of all released recipes which are available for the product and
quality selection which you have made.
You can select a recipe without having previously selected the product and
quality. In this case the ’Recipe’ input support box contains all released
recipes. When a recipe is selected the corresponding product and quality
designations are entered automatically.
