6.4.2 Taking over production orders
If you wish to take over orders from a production planning system (PPS) you
must be linked to the PPS system. Data transfer will be initiated by the PPS
system. By means of read-write accesses, the PPS system can add new entries
to the database.
You can also take over orders by importing production orders in BOM
(see Chapter 3.3.4).
The following diagram shows the basic procedure for taking over orders from
a PPS system:
