3.3.4 Production order managament
A production order consists of batches which are linked in time and also with
respect to products. Production orders can either be taken over from a
higher-level production planning system (PPS) or created directly with the
aid of batch planning.
Chapter 6.4 deals in detail with planning production orders and conversion of
production orders into batches, as well as the use of the job list.
You can display the production orders list via the ’BATCH flexible’ window
by a single click on ’Production order’ (see Figure 3-4, Page 3-7).
It offers an overview of all production orders with the following information:
S Order designation
S Product designation
S Quality designation
S Quantity
S Unit
S Status
S Earliest start
S Latest end
Filtering and sorting criteria for the production orders list are shown in
Table 1-1 (see Page 1-24). The meaning of the symbols in front of the
designation may be found halfway down Page 1-25.
