CYLINDER HEAD COVER INSTALLATION
Install the cylinder head cover in the reverse order of removal.
Pay attention to the following points:
• Install the new gasket to the cylinder head cover.
• Apply bond to the end caps of the cylinder head cover gasket
as shown.
) 99000-31140: SUZUKI BOND “1207B” or equivalent
• Place the cylinder head cover on the cylinder head.
• Apply engine oil to both sides of gaskets.
• Tighten the cylinder head cover bolts to the specified torque.
$ Cylinder head cover bolt: 14 N·m (1.4 kgf-m, 10.0 lb-ft)
• Install the TO sensor bracket.
• Install the spark plug cap and spark plug.
• Install the radiator covers and fuel tank.
• Install the seat.
INSPECTION AFTER INSTALLATION
• Engine oil level and oil leakage
• Engine coolant level and coolant leakage (!2-14, -15)
• Fuel leakage
• Exhaust gas leakage
• Throttle cable play (!2-17)
• Clutch lever play (!2-16)
• Wiring harness, cable and hose routing (!20-19 to -23)
CAUTION
Check to be sure that the cam chain No.2 guide is
securely installed on the cylinder head cover.
Use the new gaskets to prevent oil leakage.
