INSPECTION
IGNITION COIL PRIMARY PEAK VOLTAGE
• Remove the seat, radiator covers and fuel tank.

• Disconnect the spark plug cap

• Connect a new spark plug to spark plug cap and ground it to
the cylinder.
Measure the ignition coil primary peak voltage using the multi-
circuit tester in the following procedure.
• Insert the needle pointed probes
A to the ignition coil lead
wire coupler

" 09900-25009: Needle pointed probe set
CAUTION
Avoid grounding the spark plug and suppling the elec-
trical shock to the cylinder head cover (magnesium
parts) to prevent the magnesium material from dam-
age.
CAUTION
Use the special tool, to prevent the rubber of the water
proof coupler from damage.
