OIL RELIEF VALVE INSPECTION
• Inspect the operation of the oil relief valve by pushing on the
piston with a proper bar.
• If the piston does not operate, replace the oil relief valve with
a new one.
OIL RELIEF VALVE INSTALLATION
• Apply engine oil to the O-ring and press in the oil relief valve
to the right crankcase cover.
• Install the right crankcase cover. (!8-6)
OIL SEAL REMOVAL
• Remove the right crankcase cover. (!8-3)
• Remove the snap ring


• Remove the oil seal.
OIL SEAL INSPECTION
For oil seal inspection other than the following, refer to page 10-8.
• Inspect the oil seal lip for wear and damage.
• If any defects are found, replace the oil seal with a new one.
CAUTION
Use the new O-ring to prevent oil leakage.
