8. ADJUSTMENTS
8.1. BELT TENSION

Carry out the operations described in paragraph
7.7. “Disassembling the guards” for removing
the upper guard.
1. Remove the spring from the pin a on the
frame of the machine.

Working on the belt tensioning mechanism:
2. Back off the lock-nut b using a 17-mm
wrench.
3. Make the adjustment by turning the screw c
with a 5-mm hex wrench.
4. Tighten the lock-nut again.
The correct belt tension is 29 Kg.
If a new belt is used, after having
tensioned it according the above
procedure, it is recommended to
exercise for a minute , in order to “pull”
the belt. Then check again the tension
value.
