15 Alert Devices The Smart-Vue wireless monitoring system can alert you if readings on your
sensor modules exceed range limits that you specify. You may receive alerts
by phone, fax, e-mail, text message, and alerts can trigger a wireless siren
alert device.
The Smart-Vue Alarm Management System (AMS) is an integral part of the
Smart-Vue software solution, watching over your data to make sure it stays
within the target range.
The following devices are described in this section:
• Wireless siren: an audio and visual alert, triggered wirelessly by your
monitoring system.
• Dry contact device: a wireless device that can be used to activate other
type of alert devices.
• Telephone modem: connected to the Smart-Vue Server server computer
directly, the modem can deliver alert messages phone and fax.
