Star Coupler Feature
The GCM board and the software support two ports for connecting readers
and other peripherals. Each port can control up to four readers. The PMB
provides a star coupler feature to expand the two RS485 ports into four ports
with separate drivers (referred to as RM ports) as shown in Table 4.1 on
page 4-19.
The PMB star coupler uses a DIP Switch (S1) to route the RM ports to the
RS485 ports on the GCM.
