Secondary Communications Path
A secondary path is the host communications path that is used by a cluster if a
communications failure occurs on the primary path, or if the master controller
fails. Table 2.1 on page 2-8 shows the configuration options for primary and
secondary communications.
Figure 2.6 shows two examples of secondary communications:
A secondary path on a single master configuration using two network
connections (on the left side of the diagram).
A secondary path on the alternate master (on the right side of the
diagram). Configurations that use an alternate master must connect to the
host over 10/100Base-T Ethernet on both primary and secondary paths.
