5.1.2 Software Update via a Downloaded File
If your system does not connect directly to the Internet, but you have a computer with access to an Internet
connection, the update can be downloaded from the Ultrasonix website and copied to the root
of a USB device
(memory stick, external hard drive, etc.).
Equipment/Tools Required:
• USB media (memory stick, external hard drive, etc.).
To Update from a USB Device:
1. Download the relevant update to your computer and copy it onto some type of USB media (memory stick,
external hard drive, etc.).
2. Connect the USB device to one of the system's four (4) external USB ports.
3. Tap the touch screen button.
4. Select Administrator > Software Updates.
5. From the Update Location drop-down menu, select the relevant USB device.
6. Select the relevant file from the Available Updates drop-down menu.
7. Select Update.
8. When the installation is complete the system will automatically reboot and apply the changes.
Note: Consult with an Ultrasonix Technical Support Representative to obtain the web address from which to
download the update.
Note: If an error occurs during installation, contact an Ultrasonix Technical Support Representative for further
instructions.
