Personal TitleMaker User Guide

By setting all pages for infinite duration, you can press PLAY when you
want a page to begin playing, then press
PLAY again to end the page.
So, when the program begins, press
PLAY to display/record page 1. The
page enters, complete with its assigned transition, and remains on the
screen indefinitely. Press
PLAY again and the page exits the screen
using its assigned transition, and the next page (a blank one) comes
on screen. (The blank pages should all use the Video Background
option to allow the video footage to appear on the screen. The other
pages can have any background you want to use.) You can, of course,
have two or more non-blank pages in sequence to run continuous
titles.
Tip
You can easily set all pages in a project to infinite duration. Simply
insert the cursor in any page of the project, press
CMD+MARK
START, then press CMD+MARK END. Then press EFFECTS/IN, choose
the infinite duration option on the menu, and press
NEW LINE OK.
Note
While playing any page, you can press PLAY to immediately go to
the next page. However, if the page’s duration times out before
you press
PLAY, the page exits from the screen. Therefore, to
ensure complete control over pages entering and exiting the
screen, you need to set each page’s duration to infinite.
Manually Controlling Non-Infinite Pages
If you set up a project wherein the pages have durations other than infi-
nite, you can manually control the duration of each page using the
ARROW keys.
Note
When you use the ARROW keys (as explained in the following
procedure), page transitions do not play.
1 Press
PLAY or CMD+PLAY to start the project playing. Remem-
ber,
CMD+PLAY starts playing from the beginning; PLAY starts
playing from the page that contains the cursor.
