LESSON 6
CREATE PAGE FIVE
Page five contains a two-line title (Picadilly Circus)
that plays superimposed over the incoming video
with a semi-transparent background.
1 Create a new page following page four.
2 Type P
ICADILLY, press NEW LINE OK, then type CIRCUS.
You can leave the font exactly as entered, or change it if you wish.
If you mark the text and change the font, however, be sure to press
UNDO afterward to remove the markers.
3 Press and release
POSN, then press DOWN ARROW — then
enter the same key combination one more time.
The title lines are originally aligned at the top of the page, but we
want them at the bottom. The first time you enter the key combina-
tion, the lines move to the middle of the page. The second time
moves them to the bottom.
4 Press EFFECTS/IN, choose the fade transition, set its speed to
medium (5), and set the page’s duration to 2.0 seconds.
5 Press
EFFECTS/OUT, choose the fade transition, then set its
speed to medium/slow (3).
Notice in the two preceding steps you did something a little differ-
ent — you moved directly from the Effects In menu to the Effects
Out menu without going back to the Editing Screen. You can move
between menus this way at any time. However, always make sure
you are editing the correct page and text.
6 Press
BACKGROUND/COLOR to display the Colors menu,
choose a color other than black for the background (try a
pink or orange shade), then press
NEW LINE OK.
7 Press
BACKGROUND/PATTERN to display the Patterns menu,
then highlight the solid color option in the top sub-menu.
