5 Use ARROW keys to highlight the speed factor. This factor
determines how fast the transition runs. Speed 1 is slowest,
8 fastest. Experiment with different speeds to find the one
that works best with a page.
6 Press
TAB to move to the Duration sub-menu.
7 Use
ARROW keys to highlight the duration option you want.
See “Setting Page Duration” later in this chapter for more
information about the options and how to use them.
8 Press NEW LINE OK to exit the menu and return to the Editing
Screen.
Setting Out Effects
Out Effects are exactly the same as In Effects, with these two differ-
ences:
• Out Effects control what happens when a page exits the screen,
as opposed to when it enters.
• When applying Out Effects, you cannot set the page’s duration,
you can only control the speed of the transition.
The Out Effects menu looks exactly like the In Effects menu except that
it does not contain the Duration sub-menu.
To set the Out Effects for a page, do as explained in the preceding sec-
tion but press
EFFECTS/OUT rather than EFFECTS/IN.
Transitions
Personal TitleMaker provides an assortment of transitions for control-
ling the way a page enters and exits the screen. The transitions are spe-
cial effects, such as wipes and slides.
